It breaks my heart seeing the hermit crabs in beach shops. I want to save at least one (I’ve saved some from Petco that looked really rough, rip Papa John tho he didn’t pull thru) but I know it will just contribute to those shops being a problem…

Im really trying my best I got one the other day and had no idea the requirements for them my brother did reduce for us but not enough apparently so any tips and tricks for caring for my cutie would be greatly appreciated and also understand that I am on a budget and can’t drop $100 on a enclosure as of right now but I am trying my best for him

I just adopted two 8 weeks ago. They burrowed that night, and I haven’t seen them since. Two days ago they had come up because there was sand in their salt water tub and several things were rearranged. I just wish I could see them during the day. It’s been frustrating, but I’m trying to be patient!

this is my big boy Sheldon and he has a brother slightly smaller but never comes out much. I got them from the beach because they were the biggest ones in there and I saw no shells for them to upgrade to and I could not let them die.
