Its an accident. They happen every day. Thats why we have ins. City has ins on the cop car. Cop couldve just as easily been hurt. Should she be prosecuted in that case?

The litmus test should be whether other drivers would be charged. We know any other person would be charged so the officer should be charged. It was an avoidable accident and instead he chose to run a light he knew was turning red.
