@willfitzgibbonstravel: Anthony Bourdain went to Iran expecting hostility. He found the warmest hospitality of his career. He said he was ashamed of how wrong he’d been. These are the 6 countries that broke his assumptions and never let them form again. #anthonybourdain #bourdain #partsunknown #iran #japan #lebanon #cuba #haiti #travel #theforgottenatlas #bourdainlegacy #traveltok #foodtravel #travelinspiration #worldtravel #partsunknownseason3 #traveltheworld #culturatravel #historytok #travelcreator

every time I travel, I think of him. I feel like I walk with him in my heart and his voice in my head. I've always had the heart of a travel, a wanderer. and I know he did too 😌

I love he traveled with an open heart, he had his reservations but he never let them get in the way of meeting and learning from people and cultures through food

The Beirut episode was some of his best work. I got to see him live when he came to my city. He truly believed that food could bring people together.

Hotel Jack :
I work in hospice and had the absolute privilege of meeting a family that had immigrated from Iran. They taught me so much. They opened my eyes and changed my perspective in so many ways. I ended up buying a lot of books about the revolution and their nation’s history. I wish more people turned off the news and listened to their neighbors and cracked open books. Opening your mind to the world around you will forever leave you astonished.
