So, my BCGs didnt come until the 6th week of basic. By then my regular glasses were broken and taped. When I finally got the BCGs the DS wouldnt let me wear them.

You are too young to remember the original BCGs. They significantly improved the design of standard issues back in the early 2000s.

26 years later and i still have mine. why? because every now and then i will wear them in town just get reactions from people. some laugh and others cant stop glancing at me with wtf looks🤣

BCG is an old term, they actually have a decent selection now compared to the days of old where one size fits all. Not designer, but still much better.
