Should be a lot less because of transmission and engine problems!

Not you personally but the industry as a whole has left the consumer not believing a word a salesman says or your stickers. No matter how much is negotiated off you always leave feeling screwed. The dealerships have created this atmosphere over many years decades.

As a former salesman I can relate. You are discounting the 2nd most popular vehicle in America. I understand the customer wants a good deal but 9000 k is a heck of a discount.

I have always felt that time is also money. I do not have the time to go dealer to dealer to dealer to try and save an additional nickel. If I see what I like I buy it end of story. The price is the price.

MSRP—what a terrible term! The only retailers who negotiate based on MSRP are car manufacturers. They inflate the MSRP, which allows them to offer discounts off what they call the “MSRP.” However, if you visit any other retailer, they negotiate based on their sale price, not MSRP. You know the MSRP price is inflated, so you can reduce it by $6,000 to make it seem like a deal. Giving additional discounts to first responders, military personnel, and Amex cardholders simply reduces the inflated MSRP, so the customer doesn’t actually get a discount. If you truly offer discounts to first responders and military personnel, who pays you back for this? No one, because you all discount off the inflated MSRP.
