All of a sudden, I've seen commercials from the Texas Water Council trying to gaslight people telling them that golf courses use more water than a data center..[ of course data centers aren't providing oxygen... kind of an important byproduct ] and that it's going to bring in high paying jobs, which is a load of 💩.. The only people it's going to benefit are the billionaires who are building these things and don't have to live in the areas that are being constructed or pay the increased utilities its going to result in as it bleeds us dry... Right now ETX is in a drought, and they're announcing on the news asking people only to water their lawns two days out of the week and keep our thermometers at 78-80 to ease the strain on the electrical grid... ETX also had a water fight, where Karl Bass ( Now you guessed it a filthy, rich millionaire.) bought a ranch and is exploiting a law that allows him to use water on his own property who THEN submitted a request for 32 high capacity water drilling sites and tap into the agrifer grand open so they can export the water to the DFW area.. When hundreds of people showed up to the public meeting to voice their concerns that was held in a facility, only capable of handling 150 people, most couldn't get inside and had to stand out in the lobby.And exterior of the building. When they protested and asked the next meeting to be in the more accessible town of Tyler in a facility to accommodate all of those who would be affected... They turned around and moved the meetings to Austin... over 200 miles away.. 🤬 That was estimated at 15BILLION GALLONS A YEAR in a rural area where people relies on their wells... it's going to destroy everything!!!

I have spoken up CONSISTENTLY in El Paso, TX.. we already have water issues, issues that need in depth repairing and yet they are still going forward with a massive data center here. I volunteer at A LOT of centers and with animals.. and this will absolutely disrupt what little good water we have and affect those vulnerable to the current unstable conditions. 🤦🏻♀️😞
