My dad has O negative blood and so do I and growing up he instilled in me how important it is to donate blood regularly, he gives four times a year and once I turned 18 I also started to give four times a year!

I am O- too but I have chronically low iron so the last few times I’ve tried to donate, my hemoglobin has been like 2-5 points too low 🫠

you can't donate blood if you've had a blood transfusion in the UK ...I needed 7 units so my husband donated on my behalf 🙏
