i mean we went 10-7 last year and now with a much improved offense, defense and coaching staff we definitely have a chance to compete, this team is better than the patriots team that made the superbowl last year so we could go a long way

Agreed. They didn’t really have a better choice this offseason. Their offensive scheme and weapons should be a little better. Howard and Allar are both very cheap potential upside successors, but neither needs to see the field yet. Rodgers gives you a still capable vet, and gives you a little time to see if one of the young guys can run your offense, and if not you should have better options at a long term replacement next offseason.

Paradox :
Short term it’s a decent move, long term is a terrible move. They refuse to find a true replacement and continue to screw themselves by being good but not great. Zero plan for QB since Big Ben left and 9-8 or 10-7 isn’t good enough to get a good QB… they need to let one of their rookies show what they’ve got and if they fail that’s ok, you’ll have a higher draft pick.
