Yall there are tsunamis whos waves reach huge heights. The shore recedes back and the water all comes crashing back at insanely fast speeds. It usually depends what caused the tsunami and where the tsunami happened that determines whether its more flash flood like huge wave like. Either way, its generally the speed of the water that is most dangerous, as well as the white water at the front where the waves vreak. They are fast enough to tear houses and huge buildings off their foundations. Very scary

learning to work with water has actually made me realize just how underestimating water really is, it follows itself and it will continue to do so no matter what is in its way unless it's in a pipe or contained space. The ocean is basically an endless space of water so think about like this, a sudden force of any kind strong enough to pull or push water will attract more water throughout the space in the ocean because its causing rapid movement which is going up and downwards and in the end it'll draw up faster due to it acting as a pressurized system which is why it got so crazy so quick.
