I have a sweater that has big sentimental value for me. The sleeves look exactly like the one you’re fixing on this video because i have a cat that loves making biscuits on me while teething on the sleeve. This is such a cool idea and inspired me.

I'm not an embroidery expert or anything but I'm good at mending stuff and you definitely succeeded in that and made it look intentional. The embroidery floss will protect the fabric well.

I love! Iron-on stabilizer might let you put tension on knits like this without stretching them and make it easier to stitch? I don’t know how it would stick on the thick cuff seam though

Once as a teen I offered to mend a cute skater boys jacket cuff. I proceeded to horribly stitch it and made a lumpy mess. He looked horrified when I gave it back and said I made it worse 🤣

you can still use the hoop if you make sure not to stretch it when you put it in the hoop!

a darning egg will help items that cant be hooped easily. gives a good surface without stretching the fabric 🥰

Looks amazing!!! I also have a little wooden mushroomy thing I use for darning socks and also providing a stable back for mending, it’s kind of nice to use something behind to keep the fabric shaped but not stretched out.
