Huh those cheap fences are notorious for not being straight. You should 100% redo this video with a disclaimer if you have a cheap table saw you need to measure the distance to the fence at the front and back. If the fence isnt exactly parallel it’ll bind the board and you’ll get a nasty kick back

Did a great job. But you forgot one safety standard and that is ear muffs. Hearing loss is much higher when using power tools.

this is genuinely very helpful, I'm a beginner with tools like all I have is a hammer, some old wrenches, and I just got a screw driver. someday my goal is to be able to safely use a bunch of tools like this to build a shed and some furniture and who knows what else! so every time I see your videos I get excited to learn, so thank you!!

That’s not plumb that’s square. Plumb is perpendicular to gravity, square is 90degrees from another surface.

Great video! One thing to add: make sure fence is parallel to the blade. Mine had recently moved a bit due to a loose screw and caused pinching

If the teeth of the blade are 1/8” thicker than the blade , I was wondering how did you make sure the blade is 90 degree plumbed simply by using the square that touches the blade and the teeth at the same time…

ur fence is not set correct. mic it. bet the edges are not parallel. u need to measure the front of the blade and the back of the blade. u also have blade teeth that point to the fence and away. u also have straight teeth. depending on what tooth u measured ud be a 32nd off on ur measurement. its fine ur a contractor u get a 1/4" off over a 4 foot run. I prefer a bit more accurate
