@the.betes: One teaspoon of sugar. That’s about how much glucose is in your entire bloodstream at ~100 mg/dL. If you’re doing the work of managing that every day with type 1, you are doing something incredibly hard. Share this with someone who’s living with T1D or they love somebody who does! // Year 34 Day 92 💉🩸 #YourBestT1DYear
;) As long as I do not move or eat it stays perfect …. 😜

I know this isn’t the point of your video but I have reactive hypoglycemia. That was a great visual demonstration for me on why my endocrinologist does not want me going for a run if my sugar is below 100. I have been struggling with that when I just want to run. No wonder some runs are harder I’m starting with a tank that isn’t anywhere near full.

Basically you’re saying having T1D sucks and thank goodness I’m alive in today’s CGMs and insulin pumps . It’s exhausting. I’ve learned to give myself some credit

Seeing explanations like this makes me angry but not at those who are helping to educate. I feel angry that people in my life haven't been educated well enough to understand, angry that employers don't see the real actual seriousness of what I'm living with, and angry that I'm never allowed to take a break. I spend so much of my private time crying over it and it's been something I've had for the majority of my life. I'll never get used to it.

according to my most recent A1C results, in order to be "in range" I should be around 5.5-5.8. thats an average of 75-80 mgdl. at 6.2 Im considered out of range. 36 years t1d.

My baby is 6 months in since dx. She’s been 98% in range for 90 days. She was over 14% at dx and currently 5.9%. This crap is so hard. We get so mad at food and counting … I’m praying for a cure 💔💔💔
