@thepoolleakguy: Skimmer throat leaks are one of the most common leaks you will find in a pool. A pool typically has an expansion joint cut around its entire perimeter separating it fron the deck. This allows the deck and pool move independently without damaging each other. The issue is skimmer is normally set into the deck with it’s throat reaching across that joint and connecting to the pool. This means the skimmer is the only thing trying to hold these two massive structures together. Is it any wonder why there are so many failures?
