Omg I was 10 years old. 1984. Mary Lou Retton was in the Olympics and was in her teens and I was like holy shit I’m only 10 and that path is already closed. Mind you, I didn’t even do gymnastics 😂

The first cricket match I played moving from the Under 15s to the Men's Thirds team and found out my "fast bowling" speed was their "spin bowling" speed. I was humbled that match and they weren't even the main Men's team.

Junior year of high school, I was running the 400. Best race of my life for 325 meters, then my back gave out then I got passed by 4 people in the last 75 meters. Finished 8 seconds behind the winner (12 seconds off my best time) when 10 meters ahead of her going into the last straightaway
