I am the local. This report is very accurate. Here is the aftermath. Today the two train employees have been charged. However, no one knows what to do with those drivers who did not care to stop for the train.

I don’t understand why the bus driver thought it would be a good idea or anyone in a vehicle cool would think it would be a good idea to stop over a train track when coming to a complete stop‼️the train operator definitely isn’t at fault.. if anything the blame should be on the city for not having proper markings on the road or the bus driver for not following the cities markings if they were there.

Looks more like the government is at fault here. Inadequate safety at railroad crossings to prevent accidents like this.

Gosh … people, you need to make sure that the whole length of your vehicle is CLEAR on the other side, before attempting to cross the intersections and specifically…rail road crossings.

Why would you stop a bus on tracks? It doesn't matter what the traffic is doing. If you can't clear the tracks do not stop or go over. Basic commercial driver license knowledge.

That was clearly a traffic crossing, not a train crossing. The train should have stopped for the traffic until it cleared... 🤦

For those wondering why the train conductor was charged… A local is saying that the conductor failed to respond to the traffic station who were indicating audibly over radio and visually using signals that he needed to stop. Then the conductor failed to initiate emergency protocols. Apparently he was also going faster than allowed in city limits.
