*** All trims covered except Snow and Black Beauty. Thank you Team 1 Horse🐴❤️ *** This Sunday is table farrier day for our drafts and they will be table trimmed as shown in this old video with our Ellie🖤 Regular hoof care is so important and we are doing our part to keep hooves and drafts happy! Our little “farrier team” will start bright and early and we have 30 rescues to be trimmed, 36 total!😬 We could actually use some help leading horses on and off the table and poop cleaning if anyone is interested! We will have breakfast burritos and coffee cake thanks to the amazing Margaret E Persavich🐴❤️ Please text me if you are willing and able to help! 406.493.4978 I kindly ask you to please consider sponsoring a trim at 85🐴/50🐴. Farrier day is always a big ask for the herd, but it’s an absolute necessity! Thank you so much Team 1 Horse❤️🐴❤️ Pictured below is our beautiful JENAY🐴❤️ during her last trim! Why do we trim on the table? Many of our drafts have never learned to lift their feet! This is a safe way for both horse and farrier to get their feet trimmed while they are secured laying down. The horse is lead on the table, the door closes and straps are wrapped safely around the horse, protecting both horse and farrier. The horse is usally not sedated, yet we do have a few that do in fact require sedation. The trim lasts for about 10 minutes with one farrier working on the fronts and one working on the hinds, and the farriers are using power tools, which makes their work quick and easy. The table is a fantastic tool for our herd and we are grateful to have one accessible for our herd! Here is the herd to be sponsored, thank you all!
