Sometimes I still think about it. When I'm completely drained, I end up crying because it feels like I'm all alone. Whenever I try to vent, sometimes there's no reply, no words of encouragement, and sometimes my feelings are even laughed off. I'd rather have a few people I can genuinely turn to than be surrounded by many people who still make me feel alone. One thing I've learned is this. Don't measure your value by how quickly people reply or how present they are. Not every friendship is meant to last forever, and that's okay. The right people will come. People who will listen without judgment, support you without being asked, and remind you that you're never truly alone. Until then, learn to become your own safe place. Not because you've stopped caring, but because you've decided to protect your own peace.
