@andreitudor_: In 1996, Michael Jackson traveled to Rio de Janeiro and Pelourinho to film the now-iconic music video alongside Brazilian percussion group Olodum. The Rio scenes were filmed inside the Santa Marta favela, where hundreds of locals appeared in the video dancing and singing with him. At the time, some Brazilian authorities tried to stop the filming, worried the video would show poverty and violence to the world.
