🇻🇪✨Venezuelan food is officially on my list of must-tries! We finally made our way to Amara Chocolate & Coffee, a Venezuelan café serving up all kinds of delicious bites like arepas, cachapas, churros, empanadas, & their famous Gran Criollo hot chocolate. We came mainly for the empanadas… but ended up discovering SO much more!😍 🥟 Empanadas: We tried the chicken, cheese & beef, honestly, you can’t go wrong with any of them. Every one was packed with flavor, stuffed & fried to crispy perfection! Their side avocado cilantro + garlic aioli sauces?!🤤 SO good! It literally made everything even better.🤌🏼 🌽 Meat & Plantains Corn Cachapa: This was the surprise favorite of the day!😍 You get to choose your meat, & I went with the pulled pork. It was stuffed with Gouda/Mano cheese & topped with sweet plantains. The combination of sweet, savory, cheesy & super flavorful was INCREDIBLE. I don’t think I’ve ever had anything quite like it. Add the hot sauces & those creamy sauces on top and… complete perfection.😮‍💨🔥 🥨 The owner was also so sweet & surprised us with some churros on the house! These were different from the Mexican-style churros I’m used to, but such a fun thing to try!😃 🍓 For drinks, we tried the strawberry matcha & an Arnold Palmer. The strawberry matcha was okay, but definitely not at the top of my matcha list. Overall, I LOVED coming here & trying foods that were completely new to me. The owner was so welcoming & you can really feel the love behind the food. Venezuelan food is NO JOKE!🇻🇪❤️ If you’ve never tried it before, take this as your sign!
