I would read a fanfic where the trainer has amnesia and he trains Machan, and when Machan asks the trainer to remember her always, he starts getting scared or worried that he might forget Machan so he starts writing about Machan in his journal and then near the end, the trainer forgets all about Aston Machan, including all of his time training her, getting to know her, and making a bound with Machan, the fic ends when the trainer founds his old journal and read everything about Aston Machan and then he remembers everything about Machan so he starts looking for her and the last words of the fanfic would be "I will always remember you"
