The USA is right & wrong at the same time. Every State & even some major Cities charge local taxes on income as well as Federal taxes, so there is no "one figure" for take home pay in the USA. For example £100k ($132,290) in New York would be £69,900 take home vs Austin, Texas at £75,708

you can't directly compare salaries.....Switzerland taxes around 1.5 x one monthly salary and then you have the massive costs of mandatory private health insurance.....😑🙄
