It’ll forever make me sad how people will buy up tickets for the sake of gawking at the members instead of yk actually go for the music which is the point of a concert. I love small/local shows and it did not dawn on me until about a week before my shows that people aren’t going for the music they’re going for the members it’s so irritating. Ain’t nobody going to concerts for the love of the game anymore everyone wants either clout, to gawk at the members or to think they’re part of something bigger when they’re not.

Omfg THIS the first time I saw JILUKA in 2024 everyone was having fun and headbanging and moshing and pushing eachother around for the love of it and nobody had an issue because that’s how it’s supposed to be done especially when a band asks the crowd to preform those things. But now last week when I went and the bands were telling them to mosh and run back and forth NOBODY wanted to do anything and it kinda felt embarrassing for some reason. There was definitely a lack of something during that concert

i’m seeing them on saturday w/ a group of people and im a bit worried since it’ll be my first metal show ever. i’m already aware that i should be trying to matching the energy and shouldn’t stand like a cardboard cutout, but are there any other tips? like how i should handle myself? literally any advice is appreciated since im not well-versed in this type of scene lol

people get mad for moshing?? Even if people get confused that metal vkei bands do circular moshing, other types of vkei bands also have sideways moshing (moving from right to left or left to right) etc so the audience still need to move... I've only been to lives in Japan tho so maybe I might be expecting too much from the audience 🤷🏻♀️i feel bad that you had a bad experience but hopefully your next vkei show will be amazing and more! 🫶🏼

When people want there personal space but they’re in a metal show where personal space isn’t a thing there just boggles my mind and doesn’t make sense…. You’re at the wrong place then and should of done more research before attending 😭

When I went this year the crowd lucky wasn’t bad at all and we we’re having a blast (at least where I was at) but at other Jiluka shows this year that I’ve heard about Senas section was absolutely UNBEARABLE

See, I get overwhelmed easy, but Jiluka concerts are genuinely the most fun concerts I’ve been to so far. The only issue I had with the most recent concert I was at was a girl trying to crowd surf—WHICH IS FINE—and landing basically on top of me. Did I get overwhelmed and have to leave the crowd? Yes. Did I cause issues because of that? Hell no. I was in the back of crowd after that having the time of my life

i think people generally think of them as a "Vkei band" before a Metal band leads them to focus on kinda the 'wrong' thing. like ive seen so many newcomers asking about if furisuke is necessary trying to be respectful, and while the advice is ofc overwhelming "no need", i feel like people forget to say that you should still be *Moving* though 😭 like if youre just standing recording its gonna inhibit not only your movement but that of others around you who actually Want to participate in the average metal experience, given that furi isn't the only way to do that in the world

This was the case for Madman’s Esprit in London Kyuho was genuinely annoyed cause people weren’t moshing despite him screaming at them to they just stood still filming it was disappointing but I did manage to start a mini pit of about 5 people

Dallas was a bit bad cause a lot of people were pushing to get infront and the venue did Jiluka really dirty with the speakers cause all the instrument were blending into one pitch and Ricko’s mic really needed to be turned up cause his voice was hard to hear, but the attendants were really sweet at the merch stand

Yeahhhh…..I kinda felt like I was the only one really participating. I was the only one chanting, I had to start a couple clap sessions, I was the only one around me headbanging as hard as the music called for, I was sad about it😭

I had so much fun seeing them but omg the amount of people just standing there with their phones the whole time omg... like sure I took a few pics but not the WHOLE TIME. it's a metal show, jump around, headbang, literally do anything but stand still

I was lucky to be at a big venue like a music festival where they were at and the music festival was a rock show so all the people that were there and attending. We’re all familiar with that kind of stuff so I’m glad I didn’t have to experience something like that.

I had a lot of fun at my show personally but I did notice that my section (in front of sena) wasn’t rly moving around and I was like oh ok 😭. I would have LOVEDDD to join the pit but I wasn’t feeling 100% so most I was able to do was jump occasionally and headbang so much that my neck just started hurting. But yea it would’ve been cool if more ppl around me joined in but alas

they definitely had more people who were more into the metal scene their first USA tour, more moshing, more interactions, more hype, etc while this time around it was a lot more people to gawk at them

I reallyyyy want to go to a Jiluka concert the next time they tour in Europe but I really don't know what to expect. I don't see many people talking about their experience and I don't really know the etiquette for a metal concert. I really love Jilukas music and I've been a fan for a while but I really don't know how to act and what is okay and what's not..

im not necessarily a metal head but I do enjoy going to metal shows for the vibe, but im well aware of moshing and I dont particularly like it but ive been unintentionally been right beside perimeter pushers and they've accidentally shoved me but ive never taken it as offensive but more like im in their space if that makes sense

I don't know if this is the right place to ask, but does anyone know what Jiluka concerts are like in clubs? I'm going there in September with a friend and I don't want to stand out. It will be my first concert of this genre. If anyone has been, could you give me some advice on how to behave and any other, even the smallest, things to know? I've been listening to Jiluka for two years and would like to go to their concert if I have the opportunity.
