Embodiment Avery failed to save his Derek, and instead of choosing to go back and save him as many times as it took. He chose to instead kill his knight, saving him from any pain or suffering he would face ; believing he saved his knight from a life of misery. He is the embodiment of hatred, misery and most of all ; lonliness. He sits atop his throne bathed in gold, all conceivable knowledge flooding his head adorned in sharp thorns - and feels lonely. Missing his only companion. He feels hatred for all Avery’s who posses their own knight, not for hatred of Derek, but missing his own. He doesn’t want a cheap imitation he calls them, he wants his and only his.
