Yes exactly. I think people are being either a little too hard on Rupert or js simply ignoring his flaws. And also I’m glad he’s not there yet, I hate stories with superficial character growth and I’m glad they’re making it an actual process that doesn’t purely revolve around Taggie (bc ppl can’t change other ppl).

Don’t come for me — and having the read the books — I think Cameron is in it for Cameron… Tony, Rupert, Declan are all chess moves with her. And her calling Taggie a ‘stupid b’ in season 1, then Rupert’s kids ‘little s’ in season 2 while conjecturing what it would look like to be a RBC/politician’s wife but not celebrating with him at his drunken victory party (Chicken Dance) or giving Declan or the Ventura board an ultimatum, that if they want her to be team Ventura they need to stand by RCBare proof of her “Cameron first” mentality.

I love a good "star-crossed lovers who can't be together yet" trope, but Rupert did NOT suffer enough for Taggie imo. I get that sex is his coping mechanism, but not even thinking about her while he was gone? No scenes of him actually yearning? It really bothered me before they started interacting again. Also, changing or rushing iconic book scenes like the car and the kitchen means non-readers won't truly get the depth behind that "I can't breathe without you" line.

When Rupert talks about "never doing that to someone again" and he can only think about Taggie in that moment, but he's literally doing it to Cameron. 🥴

In the book it’s crazy how quickly Rupert becomes tired of his relationship with Cameron after she moves in. As soon as she doesn’t need him to take care of her, he becomes exhausted of her expect when it comes to sex. He doesn’t like her abrasive personality and every time she’s herself she cringes saying “I shouldn’t have said that”

Let's talk about Bas and Taggie😂🥰. I want to see them together. I love Rupert but right now the way things are he is far away from Taggie, i'm fact I think that he won't persue her yet, he dosen't feel worthy of her, and he feels old for too. But I love how the show is showing us that the dynamics i'm a relationahip like that does work, with Malise and Helen, and Sarah and Paul
