I think this is partly why for a lot of people worship can feel rlly mechanical. The older I get though, the more obvious it is that prayer was never merely abt “earning” something. It literally physiologically transforms you and feels like the soul has briefly returned to the thing it was made for. So the reward is just the feeling of being close to God in the act of praying itself imo

also shifting your mindset to thinking of taking care of your parents for example as a privilege and a blessing. your reward for taking care of them is having the opportunity to do that.

When Allah SWT allows you to give charity or help someone you should thank them, not the other way around. Because the giving was the privilege chosen and gifted to you by Allah because he doesn’t need your help to help them. He chose you to help.

Waking up every day is the biggest reward. Having your health is another big reward. You are getting both rewards for nothing you did, so any good deeds you do, you are already being overcompensated on a daily basis

Being privileged to attend the mosque for congregational prayers is a reward because Allah wants you to be part of the bigger picture where the Angels are making duaa for you and you are benefiting from it in ways only Allah knows best🤲🤲
