This Buddhist festival went absolutely wild 🔥 At the finale of Korea’s Lotus Lantern Festival (연등회) yesterday, Seoul’s Jogyesa Temple transformed into what felt like a massive outdoor party scene! Nobody expected the monk leading the entire crowd singalong and hyping up the atmosphere to be the head monk from Jayeonam Hermitage at Soyosan, Dongducheon. The energy, the rhythm, the stage presence… pure “Buddhist DJ” vibes blessing the crowd through beats and music 🎧✨ Young people in the audience were screaming and singing along nonstop. Buddhism just stepped straight into the modern trend wave. Truly: everything is empty… except the music connection 😆
