I wouldn't say I hate Alya, but some of her reactions to Thalia, even if they're legitimate, seem a bit tiresome, especially when it was about Varkas. I found her a little tedious on that point. I can understand she's afraid of Thalia because of her mother, but when I see Thalia trying to make an effort, I think that Garrett and she could have made an effort too, because they can't tell me they didn't see Thalia being bullied in the novel.
