about half of these are problematic. Syllogisms for example are now considered circular tautologies that don't establish new knowledge, following critiques made by Ibn Taymiyyah and John Stuart Mill.

modus ponens has a hole that is rooted from implication truth table. that is, in the modus ponens inference A doesn't need to be true, as long as the implication formula holds. the truth table automatically guarantees B is true.
