All about the Sauce, 49 of 50. Gochujang Sauce for Korean Fried Chicken. (Chicken recipe included too) sweet, spicy and addictive so so delicious and I got all these ingredients from supermarket/amazon. Sauce recipe 50ml dark soy 1 tbsp minced garlic 1 tbsp minced ginger 2 tbsp honey 2 tbsp rice vinegar (or white wine vinegar) 3 tbsp brown sugar 1 tbsp Korean red pepper flakes (or chilli flakes) 5 tbsp gochujang 1 tsp sesame oil (missed in video) 200ml water 1. Simmer on a low heat until thickened to a coating consistency For the chicken first marinate in the below, you can use chicken breast like I did or bone in pieces. This is enough for 600-700g chicken breast pieces 1 tsp salt 1 tsp white pepper 1 tsp garlic powder 1 tsp onion powder 1 tsp cayenne pepper Let it sit covered in a fridge for 2 hours For the seasoned flour mix the below 100g plain flour (or a 50/50 mix of plain flour and cornflour/potato starch) 1 tsp salt 1 tsp white pepper 1 tsp garlic powder 1 tbsp sparkling water For the wet batter mix the below together 1 egg 80g plain flour 100ml Sparkling water So then the process is chicken goes in to flour then wet batter then back into the flour, give it a squeeze to form all those extra crunchy bits. Then deep fry at 160c/320f for 5 mins and 180c/360f for 2-3 mins for extra crispy finish, ensuring it’s cooked through to the centre #sauce #sauces #reels #series #gochujang
