Fred Durst on tour reminds me so much of a white, Rockstar version of T- Pain.

Corey Taylor singing the SpongeBob opening to a group of people basically shows you what he's like. I love him!

I NEVER took Limp Bizkit seriously. Maybe that’s why I never bought into the hate for them.

Korn were mistreated as opening acts by many bands, so I’m not surprised they were so nice to their openers.

I love hearing of artists helping other artists come up and succeed. I know when Johnny Cash had his show, his big focus was to bring on unheard of artists like Merle Haggard and Bob Dylan

Like I can list off totally serious ones, but they're semi-deep cuts because they're something of a slog lyrically.
And then you have the ones that were total gimmicks that even more serious songs still came out slightly funny, see Coal "Amir of the Desert" Chamber, or Fear Factory having a whole damn cyberpunk album.
And even then look at the covers and how they're done.
Manson covered Gary Numan's Down In The Park and upped the spooky, while Fear Factory turned a song about being fame paranoid into basically a love song to cars.

so you're telling nu-metal is majority satire? I knew there was a reason i was so drawn to it even though everyone constantly shat on it. theres plenty of deep songs that I love, but also gimme the fun shit

I think when it comes to music the best songwriters are either the best people or the absolute worst people and there's very few in between because there are so many absolutely amazing people on a personal level in the music industry but then also there's horrendous people and they can both write absolutely amazing music
