There was once a land covered in endless wilderness where the earth had become dry beneath a burning sun. The travelers gathered around him desperately, asking where he had found water in such a hopeless land. The shepherd looked toward the distant mountains and said, “Beyond this wilderness flows a hidden river prepared by God for those who refuse to surrender in the desert.” Some travelers mocked him because they no longer believed miracles were possible.
