Afghanistan and Khorasan are two different concepts. “Khorasan” was historically the name of a vast region that included parts of present-day Afghanistan, Iran Turkmenistan, and areas of Central Asia This means Khorasan was not the name of only modern Afghanistan If you want to call Afghanistan Khorasan then please also rename Turkmenistan Tajikistan and Uzbekistan as Khorasan This clearly shows that your struggle is not a struggle for truth rather it creates ethnic and social division, weakens Islamic unity and serves foreign intelligence agendas such as ISI and CIA interests Afghanistan however is the modern and official name of a sovereign state that has been recognized by this name for centuries It has international recognition a flag borders and an independent political identity You can also say Khorasan was a historical geographical region while Afghanistan is the official name of a modern independent country Just as Al-Andalus was a historical name but today the region consists of different modern states Khorasan and Afghanistan are not the same thing If someone says Afghanistan was originally Khorasan there is some historical truth in the sense that parts of present-day Afghanistan were once included within the greater region of Khorasan. However this does not mean that Afghanistan’s modern national identity and official name should be denied or replaced
