@fragil3gg: oh, 3 answers I forgot to mention: • I don't personally care for AA/NA but I encourage every person who wants to get sober go to at least one meeting to see if they like it. just because it isn't for me, doesn't mean it won't be great for you. (my source: thousands of people who have been helped by it lol) I don't like being in groups and I can't get into anything "higher power" related, but those things can be very helpful for some people trying to get sober. I think anybody who wants to get sober should try every single option available to them, even if it only helps them a teeny, tiny bit. any progress towards recovery is important, even if it's just a teeny, tiny bit. • I'm 34. I hope you see this, I have a good question for you. I’m a paramedic, and I’m wondering if you have any advice for how I can make a difference for my patients who are addicts? I always just try to treat them with kindness and care, let them know that they matter and I don’t think negatively of them because of drug use, and I tell them that every day sober matters when they relapse. I know I probably won’t ever convince anyone to get sober because I’m with my patients for so little time, but I didn’t know if you had any additional ways I can be supportive.
