It's actually shocking how Alon Flake, the guy everyone thought was just writing a regular story, predicted a long time ago how everything would fall apart, and that's exactly what's happening now. This has to be one of the most insane things I've ever read, it's like he knew what was coming.

I greatly appreciate your work. I respect Matt, and have been following him longer than you, but I find him reactionary rather than constructive. You’ve always been transparent about your credentials, experience, and backed up any truth claim with a credible source. You have helped me in my deconstruction journey by helping me understand how to let go of my trauma related responses to spiritual practices. I have a very strong aversion to anything “spiritual”, likely for the same reasons Matt does, but having a healthier relationship with these practices and growing an ability to differentiate between a practice and a truth claim have been invaluable. I have a much better understanding of my inner life and the unique struggles of growing up as a believer. Your work has helped me in that journey quite a bit. Thank you. Your influence is a positive one, regardless of whatever Matt thinks.

Therapist here. There is a lot of nuance on this topic, but in general I believe that coaches, spiritual directors, etc. can do good work with clients. The work is different, and there are different legal and ethics standards, but like you said we are not in are not competitive. I have benefited from your videos and would share them with clients if it is applicable to their situation and needs.

I supported you the whole time! He seemed to have made that video without even researching your content. I can understand where he was coming from since I too was confused about your usage of the term “spirituality”. However, I binged a lot of your videos and found out why you use that word. I really appreciate your videos because I identify with some of the concepts you talk about. You also introduced me to philosophy like Absurdism, existentialism, and absurdism.

Also, as a board certified chaplain --I utilize a therapist and a spiritual director to help me continue to personally grow, be challenged, and ensure I don't get in the way of providing care to those I serve as a chaplain (dealing with death, dying, grief, moral injury, suicide).

Oh dear. For the record, there is zero chance I’d be mislead about your qualifications or have a misguided idea about what you could do for me. Your intelligence and thoughtful insights caught my attention and I’ve been thru most of your content. Also, I don’t think there is much risk that anyone could mistake your qualifications.
