As others have said, could have spent a % on insulation and investments In a low risk fund which would have easily returned a better return and covered any additional energy costs

even with £500 per month saving, it takes 12 years to brake even, hopefully in 12 years time this technology will still be relevant and won't require another 70k investment! EV's tarrif is cheap, so the main saving is not the EV, but the house heating... 😏🥺
