@y:I'd agure otherwise most people are fully functioning adult, and under circumstances to even have those categories that allows cooperation, and teamwork you need inherent trust from other party, and question doesn't state, or expand any other details than dilemma stated. "You need 50% blue to successfully survive, and unless other people don't press along with you it over for you, and if you press the red button you survive." So it is assumed that people in question, and you are stranger, and you cannot inherently trust any stranger since they have the free will to rationally, or emotionally decide, and see it only through thei point of view of that 50% their risk of failure, and death, and so most people pick red. people only work under first system because they live in society, and at individual level they need trust to survive, and to thrive, and their basic relationships, reactions that causes goals, and common interest between two parties to be shaped, and that not the case for this dilemma/question their bases of trust, but believing that people will simply press the blue button, and also you must also take into consideration that when this question is being asked it usually implies that all of humanity is decided wether, or not to press x or y option, and their bad actors from within, so that must also be taken into consideration as well. People also have lives, families, and friends they'll take about them, and they'll think about themselves not strangers first. their moral agurement of children being putting into such questions, and wether it be morally upfront, and fair to do such cruel deed, but that's wonder of question itself it actual raw understanding, and fear that we ourselves claim to be above nature, and to be above natural instincts, fears, and animalistic ideals where still animals, and that's not inherently wrong by itself, but it does make some people fear that reality.
