My mom would watch my daughter while I went out but I would never do it without asking her. Always making sure that she was okay and she wasn't too tired. I would never FORCE her to watch MY child. Grandma did the right thing.

My mom always used to leave us with my grandpa. She’d sometimes leave for a weekend and leave us a letter when we got home from school to say left for the weekend be home soon. Listen to your grandpa. I love you. I was always hurt she’d just up and leave. I was although grateful to be with my grandpa and spend time with him but most times I never was around my mom. She always found a way to have her fun without us and it would hurt because I would want to be with my mom.

Honestly you can’t force someone to take care of your baby if they don’t want to. You never know what someone’s dealing with mentally or emotionally, and resentment can turn into neglect or even harm. A child should be around people who genuinely want to care for them

My moms in her 60s. I would never just dump my child on her to go run the streets. My mom is very involved in our lives but I understand she gets tired too! I don’t blame this grandma for being over it, at the end of the day it’s her daughter’s responsibility.
