I am really sorry to see all these horrible comments on your other video. I also have emetophobia and it’s literally crippling. I have three kids and I will have a panic attack when they say they have a tummy ache. I think you handled the situation very well! I personally would rather be outside and not trapped in the house while sick! I think it’s a good idea to take them outside on a comfy bed in the shade and feel the breeze. You’re handling it well. I always wish I didn’t have this fear… I hate living like this. But just cuz I have this fear doesn’t mean I don’t love my babies any less! People can be so mean.. I’m sorry that you opened up and people decided to bully you.

You can go to exposure therapy for this, my son did and it helped a lot!

As a fellow emetophobe and have been a mom for almost 15 years. I feel you 100%. No tips or tricks. You just have to get through it and always have zofran on you 😂

My daughter got stomach virus a lot. I recommend a bucket….you won’t have to cover everything in towels. I’m sorry about your condition…. Fresh air is never a bad thing

Oh girl. I’ve been there!! It’s so so hard—the anxiety doesn’t really get better (at least not for me), but the exposure of both of my kids having it definitely lessened my reaction and made me handle it better. Hugs—this shit sucks.

It’s the worst. But also us as moms idk how we do it. It’s our biggest fear but when it happens it’s like we can handle it. Idk how but we do.

I have it as well. My kids are now 19 and 22 and you just get through it. But I am already worried for when my grandkids have it someday and my kids call me because their whole house is sick or they can’t miss work and need child care…

100% me also. My kids are very aware of my fear. They handle throwing up very well. I sanitize like crazy, wash my hands constantly, keep puke bags every where, and always always suggest outside. We go outside for every sickness. The fresh air and sunshine almost always help a little. Fortunately these things come and go pretty quickly. At least the worst part is over usually within 12-24 hours.

You’re so Vaild in everything you’re feeling! how does he deal with you having it if you don’t mind me asking! My mom used to have it when I was a kid and I’m glad I had my dad cuz it would upset me but I understood, but it also gave me emetophobia for my early childhood too😭 I remember having full on melt downs after kids threw up in school😭😭

I sympathise, as a mum and healthcare professional with severe emetophobia. It is so hard. I’ve done years of CBT and EMDR and it hasn’t helped. It’s the worst phobia to manage while being a parent but as long as your child feels loved and cared for, even if it’s by their other parent that’s all that matters. Well done mum!

You are living thru it and that is exposure therapy right there! I’ve been there and somehow my mama instincts kicked in and I was able to handle it. It doesn’t get easier, you just get better!

My son is 7 and he’s had two major tummy bugs. First one when he was two. It’s tough and yes I did get it both times BUT I didn’t vomit. Thank you zofran. You’ll get through it.

I was brought here from the driveway video, and I want to tell you, I relate to this 100%. When I got pregnant my anxiety sky rocketed cause of my fear of morning sickness and oh my god what am I gonna do during stomach bug season 🫠 And I can also relate to wanting to be outside with him while he’s throwing up. If that’s where he wants to be, yes. Please. Let’s go outside and do this. Fresh air. Sunshine. No messes to pick up. Or the lack of close quarters and smelling it. I’m with you sis.
