if you want a lower maintenance yard. Clover 🍀 ☘️clover is drought resistant its softer its a less maintenance and offers flowers for the bees

Pollinator garden. 🐝 🦋 Research plants/ bushes that bloom in different seasons so you always have flowers from spring to fall. Check for what's native and not invasive in your area. 😁

Once you can monetize more - larger porch .. with nice lounge chairs and grill… tall bushes for privacy .. solar panel twinkle lights over the porch and fire pit area ?

Backyards evolve over time. Think of it as rooms. Maybe install a deck first. Then a fire pit. Not sure where you’re located but a swing is novel but normally abandoned due to mosquitoes. Just do it “one room at a time “.
