@overstimulatedpancreas: Post-swim checks always keep us on our toes because pool days + Dexcom readings don’t always match what’s really going on. 😵💫 Before making any corrections, we always double check with a finger stick — especially after swimming, being in the heat, or lots of activity. Dexcom was reading 228⬆️⬆️, so it was time for a quick FS check before making any decisions. Living with T1D means learning that technology is AMAZING… but sometimes you still have to trust the backup plan too 💙 Pool days may look a little different for us, but we’re learning, adapting, and making memories all at the same time ☀️ #Type1Diabetes #T1DMom #Dexcom #DiabetesAwareness
Even though it's off by like 30 I've noticed sometimes the dexcom is a little behind on catching up with a FS. I always check and wait 15mins and see if it catches up. usually it does but every once in a while I have to calibrate. But always good to check befor correction. Good job mom.
