my solo pieces had so many markings on them and I really loved thinking about music in such detail! For example with legend from Enescu; I wanted the first notes to sound dark and a little bit ominous with a bit of despair in it. but instead of writing those words down, I drew a dark chocolate bar, with a bite out of it, sailing in a thundersturm...(weirdly enough that worked for me, 'cause from that moment on I always started it the way I wanted). in hindsight; I might have been hungry and practicing a little bit to long that day 😂
