@emilynthomson1: PART 2: Rim to Rim! This starts at phantom ranch around mile 14 coming down from north kaibab trail. South kaibab was very sun exposed, windy, and steep. This was by far the hardest part of the hike— legs were tired, mind was tired, and we just wanted tf out of there. Almost shed a tear when I saw my husband at the top 🥲 The canyon is always so fun and this was hard, but so worth it! I’m loling! When I lived in Aspen, you could hike over to crested butte, 15 miles when it’s snowy. We stayed a night before hiking back, had two miles left to get back to my friends house and ended up hitchhiking the last mile, because the pavement almost made us cry. 🙃🤪
