I just saw a video on here that made a great case. It said that restaurants are the greatest indicator of whether we are in a recession or not. Eating out is totally discretionary. People stop eating out when money is tight or they fear the economy is failing. We have small restaurants and large national restaurant chains going out of business right and left. All of the TGI Fridays restaurants near me are now gone. Even McDonald's are saying their profits are down. Wendy's is closing down 300 locations nationwide. So there it is! We are totally cooked!
