A lot of trips try to fit:Zurich → Lucerne → Interlaken → Zermatt → St. Moritz → Lugano → Geneva all into one short itinerary. But the reality becomes:• long alpine train days• repeated packing• mountain fatigue• early departures• constant hotel switching The smoother Switzerland trips are usually smaller. Many tourists have a much better experience doing:Zurich → Lucerne → Interlaken region and then using trains for day trips to:📍Grindelwald📍Lauterbrunnen📍Wengen📍Mürren📍Jungfraujoch Or adding Zermatt only on a longer trip with slower pacing.
