And they’re never coming down. Retailers will never lower them just bc tariffs or the economy get better. We are stuck here. In hell.

Honestly we as consumers do this to ourselves. They (corporate greed people) will push the envelope on how much they charge, they gauge their audience and see if people will bite. If people keep buying the product then boom this is the new official price and it won’t go back down. We speak with our wallet, look for a cheaper grocery store., buy a different brand, look for sales, don’t buy the item at all or try a local farmer. Change your menu around if the item is too expensive. But if you have a recipe in mind and you want to stick it and nothing will deter you from getting every item on your grocery list then the consumer causes this.

How long are they going to increase prices? As long as people keep buying it, the prices will keep going up.
Things that are cheaper either are highly parishable and need to move, or are just not selling well.
Prices and price increases are based on how people speak with their wallet.
I won't pay $5.99/lbs for cheese even today. At Costco it is $3-4/lbs for Tillamook, less for Kirkland brand. Amazon is $1.69/hand lbs (or $3.38/lbs for store brand.
You chose to pay more, and so you spoke with your wallet. Move to cheap

I’m honestly worried about heating prices come the fall and the winter. We haven’t even begun to see the damage of what has already been done much less what still to come. And the astronomical utility bills that we are all about to face.
