Texting every day is definitely normal and expected but it doesn’t have to be constant. If I’m seeing someone I’d like to have a conversation every day, but you’re right that these nothing burger interactions aren’t important. The problem is finding someone who WILL text you frequently enough and quickly enough after your initial messages so that you can plan an actual date. Planning a date via 1 text every 2 days is a nightmare and leads to never actually meeting

Okay but what if you text someone trying to plan a date, ie “how does Saturday afternoon work for us to go to the museum?” And they take over a day or even several to respond? I feel like timely responses to pending plans are just basic respect and the easiest was to tell if you’re interested
