Comments have me worried. I go in my attic in shorts/t-shirt. About to do it this afternoon to strap some flex duct. I was coughing and sneezing so bad last time I was up there to run wiring.

Ok everyone calm down. Cellulose is just shredded paper rolled in boric acid to make it fireproof. Yes, if you have ventilation issues you can get mold. Fix the issue, it’s not the insulations fault.

Just got some insulation blown in our attic last summer and our home temperature seems to be even hotter in the summer than before the new insulation. Our 1950s wall insulation is horrible. Can the combo cause heat to enter the home and now be trapped inside by the new attic insulation?
