I genuinely feel for twilights old friends. imagine having a friend that doesn't care too much to be around you or to look up from her book if she is. she moves to another town and instantly click with 5 random people. they get headlined. made famous. and she gets made the princess of the very thing she was horrible at. makes you feel some type of way. like you're just a spacer before she found her true clique and potential 😭

something i've always found interesting is the way moondancer and twilight look like twins in an opposite type of way has always tweaked me out. It's like they were suppose to be best friends but Celestia choose for twi to move instead of work on the relationships she already had.

Moondancer did too much, I'm sorry. I get looking up to someone but if it affects your whole life, that's just being obsessed. Yes, Twilight should've said goodbye at least, but she doesn't owe Moondancer an attendance to her party if she's busy. Twilight didn't consider Moondancer that close of a friend. At the very least, they were acquaintances as classmates. I used to hangout very closely with old classmstes of mine, but I never considered some of them to be my bestest friends. There's a difference between THINKING of someone as your bestfriend and KNOWING/CONFIRMING that they are bestfriends. They're just old friends. Twilight did not confirm anything for them to be SOOO close. Moondancer got into her own head.

the only thing I never like about this episode is, they lowkey werent actually friends 💀like they were at best just classmates. its not a good look on twilight, but she never gave any signs that she was ever interested in being friends. moondacer DID have other friends that cared for and yet she abandons them over the one girl who they knew never hung out them anyways💀

I mean twilight did have a whole song about how when she was a filly she didnt need any friends besides her big brother best friend forever. I dont think twilight considered that group her friends at the time, just people she coexisted with, and then later when she realizes friendship isnt pointless shes like ah i guess they were my friends

I don't think Twilight is wrong. Friendships fade away. I think we've all had friends we never said bye to we just naturally let it fizzle out and not talk ever again. Plus they were both in the equivalent of highschool so it's normal

it wasn't really anyone's fault,twi wasn't social,she wouldn't have been friends with the main six either if she didn't have to save questria,she Learnt the value and went back,some people just aren't meant to be,her old friends had the right to be upset but twilight wasn't a bad person or didn't do anything wrong,it was obvious she never created Any relationship that much with any of them other than moon dancer and was just dragged to their hang outs,and the only reason she bung out with moondancer and MD with her cuase they both minded their business and the other's existence didn't annoy anyone,MD just changed with twi's presence,twi didn't,she never promised anything or stuff,the commitment wasn't there from the start

nah nah i cant even blame twilight, with her old group she wouldn't have gotten this far. they might've been good friends but twilight had to learn about friendship, you dont always have to stick to your past just because it would be considered right, you go where there's growth

I don’t really like moondancer. She got mad bc Twilight didn’t come to her party and acted like everyone abandoned her, when her other 3 friends did come. Twilight didn’t have time to explain herself when Celestia sent her away. She also NEEDED to study or Luna would’ve enslaved the whole kingdom. I mean, Twilight COULDVE contacted her later, but be fr. Moondancer was too obsessed (I don’t hate her, it’s just… she did this to herself)
