It depends on your shift. asking to work 12 hr shifts and see 5 patients is not realistic. but 6 on 8hr shifts is definitely reasonable. Chose wisely. No one making sonographers scan. Sonographers are choosing longer shifts. Its a business.

I'm goin to school right now to move away from Sterile processing. SPT is SO much on the body.. (I'm hoping I rank this spring for ECHO) one tip I can say to anyone in healthcare: resistance bands and physical therapy exercises (even if you find em on YouTube) WILL SAVE YOUR BODY! i have chronic conditions and it has saved me from further injuries. I still get tired BUT its gonna help prevent bad injuries

I appreciate you educating your fellow echo techs . Thx you for that. What are your thoughts on scanning patterns after they have been injected. By Nuclear medicine . Most patient get injected first and then sent to echo to be scanned. … and here we are sitting side by side with patients who just have teen injected . I have been wearing the base that Nuclear medicine provides 💕💕

Do you ever scan with your other arm or do you tend to stick to one arm only? 🥰
