In a way I have to agree and also disagree. The valedictorian worked hard for the position and they have the right to give their speech, but also have a student who barely did it, but they also tried their best. Some people may not be book smart but they maybe stronger than other fields of work such as mechanic or like cooking other stuff they may not be a four point student . But at least that word should also be accounted for to show Hey even they tried as well and that it could be encouraging to others because I’d rather hear from a student who is trying their very best to at least make it up than a person who is naturally gifted, I believe everyone’s voice should be accounted for no matter how big or little achievement is. The person still tried, and they did the hardest day as well deserve a round of applause many could have something going on in their lives and just getting that diploma of getting something even though they barely made by, they still worked hard and tried the best to keep up with the others they as well deserve a round of applause.
